On March 31st, Pakistan reported significant progress in its solar energy industry, marked by growing financial support for renewable energy projects. Over time, the nation witnessed an uptick in solar usage within various segments including industries, businesses, and homes, spurred largely by escalating electrical expenses, recurring blackouts, and governmental backing aimed at encouraging sustainable power sources. In line with these developments, leading international solar company TrinaSolar reinforced its dedication to the Pakistani market during the Solar Pakistan 2025 event held in Lahore, where they signed several MoUs with key distribution partners.
The accords inked with Mesol, Diwan, NMC Group, and Premier Energy will enable the dissemination of TrinaSolar’s 210mm n-type i-TOPCon Vertex N panels throughout Pakistan. This series of cutting-edge photovoltaic units—such as the 725W model (NEG21C.20), 645W variant (NEG19RC.20), along with the DUOMAX N offering at 600W (NEG18C.20)—boast superior efficacy, enhanced functionality even in harsh climatic extremes, and reduced Levelized Cost of Electricity (LCOE). Their attributes make these modules ideally suited for the varied weather patterns found within Pakistan.
Experts in the industry think that these collaborations will speed up Pakistan’s shift towards renewable energy by enhancing the accessibility of dependable and affordable solar options. At the event, Edison Zhou, who leads operations for Pakistan, Australia, and New Zealand, commented: “It gives us great pleasure to team up with prominent Pakistani distribution companies. This collaboration represents a crucial move toward making our newest Vertex N module technology more widely available and aiding Pakistan’s journey towards cleaner energy.”
Local distributor representatives similarly emphasized the significance of such partnerships. Yousuf Allahwala, Director at Mesol, noted that this collaboration will introduce “cutting-edge solar solutions” to Pakistan. Meanwhile, Saleem Diwan, CEO of Diwan Enterprises, mentioned that it aims to assist companies in attaining “optimal efficiency along with substantial cost reductions over time.”
