GITEX Africa 2025 Launches in Marrakech: A Showdown of Innovation with 45,000 Attendees and 1,400 Exhibitors

The third installment of GITEX Africa commenced in Marrakech on Monday, drawing over 45,000 attendees and approximately 1,400 exhibitors hailing from more than 130 nations.

The inauguration of this significant event featured a recorded speech by Prime Minister Aziz Akhannouch, alongside the attendance of government officials, domestic and foreign investors, delegates from governmental bodies, keynote speakers, and prominent figures across different sectors.

The currentGITEX Africa event includes various sector-focused conferences, new developments in the creative field, along with valuable networking sessions.

Each year, this event marks another step forward for Morocco in establishing itself as a vital hub for digital advancement across Africa.

Led by the Ministry of Digital Transition and Administrative Reform, working together with the Digital Development Agency (ADD), this event seeks to create collaborations among governments, investors, entrepreneurs, and digital experts.

A key highlight of this year’s event will be the «Africa Future Connectivity» summit, a selective gathering that brings together leaders from telecommunications, cloud computing, and data centers.

The conference aims to examine the effects of broadband expansion, 5G implementation, and cloud technology adoption. It also seeks to foster collaboration between government bodies and private enterprises with the intention of guiding Africa’s technological advancement.

Diaspora Studio, designed to link African talent globally, aims to encourage investment prospects, international collaborations, and knowledge exchange between expatriate communities and domestic tech environments.

GITEX Africa Morocco is similarly emphasizing EdTech, AgriTech, HealthTech, and SportsTech, strengthening its commitment to use technology as a catalyst for socioeconomic change across Africa.
