Dhaka, April 9 — The Bangladesh Sustainable and Renewable Energy Association (BSREA) has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Solar Power Europe.
On the third day of the Bangladesh Investment Summit 2025 at the Hotel InterContinental in Dhaka, Mustafa Al Mahmud, President of BSREA, and Mate Heisz, CEO of Solar Power Europe, signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) documents representing their organizations respectively.
Mate stated during his address that approximately 300 European solar firms collaborating with Solar Power Europe share a collective aim to invest in sustainable energy sources.
The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding opens up possibilities for businesses affiliated with Solar Power Europe to engage in transactions with the private sector in Bangladesh.
Prior to signing the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), Mate facilitated a panel discussion titled ‘Unlocking the Potential of Bangladesh for Investors in Renewable Energy.’

In the panel discussion, representative of Bank Europe, International Finance Corporation, Sustainable and Renewable Energy Development Authority (SREDA), CEO of Pran RFL and other private sector investors of Europe and Bangladesh joined.
Private sector entrepreneurs from both foreign and Bangladeshi backgrounds took part in a discussion about renewable energy that was conducted during the summit.
