In a communiqué provided to The PUNCH, Morocco’s Minister for Digital Transformation and Administrative Reforms, Amal Seghrouchni, stated during a press briefing that the nation’s dedication to welcoming GITEX Africa underscores its aspiration to establish itself as a leading technology center in the region.
Hosting this significant continental event in Morocco demonstrates the outcome of thorough and continuous efforts dedicated to establishing our nation as a leading digital center in the region,” she stated. “This initiative also aligns with the execution of the High Royal Directives… intended for enhancing technological infrastructure and fostering responsible digitization throughout society.
GITEX Africa is anticipated to draw governmental figures, financiers, emerging companies, and major technology corporations from throughout the continent and elsewhere.
This year’s event centers around driving Africa’s innovative future through a focus on artificial intelligence, digital infrastructure development, and fostering entrepreneurial spirit.
The Director-General of the Digital Development Agency, Mohammed Melyani, characterized the event as “a pivotal point in Africa’s digital evolution.”
