Another week has passed, as always, bringing a slew of fresh items.
tech and gadgets
have been announced.

Last week, Audio-Technica unveiled an impressive turntable designed for audiophiles, Beats launched their initial range of charging cables, and Samsung’s innovative Dolby Atmos system became available for buying. However, this only scratches the surface of what was announced.

Here, we’ve compiled all the most noteworthy new releases and announcements you may have overlooked from the last week.

Beats Cables

Beats has introduced its inaugural range of charging cables. These feature the premium woven material employed by Apple for their charging cords and offer multiple configurations including USB-C to USB-C, USB-A to USB-C, and USB-C to Lightning. Among these, the USB-C to USB-C variants are available in four distinct hues—Bolt Black, Surge Stone, Nitro Navy, and Rapid Red—which makes them the initial brightly colored charging cables offered by Apple specifically for iPhones. This distinction also applies as Beats’ offering includes the sole colorful alternatives like the USB-C to MagSafe cables designed for MacBooks besides what Apple provides.

Audio-Technica Hotaru

The Audio-Technica Hotaru stands out as a premium audiophile turntable known for its distinctive design. Featuring built-in magnets, the top part appears to float over the bottom segment, offering not only a striking appearance but also reducing vibration and enhancing sound quality. Additionally, this upper portion comes equipped with an LED light system capable of illuminating in 20 distinct hues. This limited edition release consists of just 1,000 units.

ATC SCM20ASL

The ATC SCM20ASL speakers from the renowned British hi-fi manufacturer are compact, active bookshelf models designed for use in smaller rooms. These speakers boast a two-way configuration with a 25mm “S-Spec” dual-suspension tweeter paired with a 150mm “Super Linear” mid-bass driver. Equipped with an integrated Class A/B amplifier capable of providing up to 250 watts continuously, these units aim to offer exceptional sound quality according to their makers. The company claims that they were developed to achieve remarkable clarity, neutrality, rapid transient responses, and powerful yet smooth audio output.

Skullcandy Method 360 ANC

The Skullcandy Method 360 ANC are noise-canceling wireless earbuds that, most interesting, are a joint collaboration with Bose. They leverage Bose’s audio-tuning technology — called Sound By Bose — and promise to deliver a superior sound than Skullcandy’s previous offerings. They also come with similar silicone ear tips, so they should fit just like Bose’s QuietComfort line of earbuds. At $100 — which will eventually rise to $130 — they promise to be an affordable alternative to Bose’s more premium wireless earbuds.

Aura Aspen

Aura’s Aspen stands as the mid-size option within their lineup of digital picture frames, crafted to resemble a conventional framed photograph. Sizing up against Aura’s smaller 10-inch Carver and larger 15-inch Walden models, this particular model measures just half an inch thick, making it not only appropriately sized but also the slimmest frame produced by the company so far. The device features an anti-reflective screen capable of adjusting its luminosity dynamically through integrated sensors based on varying levels of surrounding illumination—dimming down during nighttime hours entirely. Similar to other products from the same range, Aspen supports both horizontal and vertical orientations for flexible placement options.

Samsung HW-QS700F

The HW-QS700F represents a groundbreaking Dolby Atmos soundbar developed by Samsung. This model features a revolutionary “convertible” design enhanced with an integrated gyroscope. This setup enables the device to modify its audio output based on whether it is situated horizontally on a table or mounted vertically on a wall. The system includes sensors that identify the orientation of the soundbar—whether horizontal or vertical—and adjusts the functions of its speakers accordingly. If you move the unit from a tabletop position to mounting it on the wall, the function of its forward-facing and upward-firing drivers will switch places; this process reverses when transitioning back to a horizontal layout.

Chipolo Pop

The Chipolo Pop represents the pinnacle of the company’s circular Bluetooth tracking technology. This device supports both Apple’s Find My network and Google’s Find My Device system, boasting enhanced capabilities like better range and increased waterproofing compared to their previous models. Much like Apple’s AirTags in functionality and cost, the Chipolo Pop distinguishes itself with an included keyring loop and a variety of color choices for customization.

Toshiba Aurex AX-RP10

The Toshiba Aurex AX-RP10 is a small, transportable turntable featuring a belt-driven mechanism, a moving magnet (MM) cartridge, and compatibility with both 33 1/3 and 45 RPM records. This device offers up to 10 hours of music from a single battery charge. Despite not having an internal speaker, it includes Bluetooth functionality as well as an auxiliary audio port, allowing you to enjoy your tunes through either wireless or wired headsets or external speakers.

Polaroid Flip

The Polaroid Flip is a user-friendly instant film camera tailored for beginners. Its stylish retro design features a flip-open mechanism that safeguards the lens during transport. Equipped with the strongest flash among current Polaroid cameras, it excels in dim lighting conditions. What sets this model apart is its innovative “scene analysis” function, which alerts you if your upcoming shot might turn out too bright, too dark, or blurry—making it perfect for those new to capturing images on instant film. This device works seamlessly with both Polaroid 600 and I-Type film.

EcoFlow Wave 3 along with the Glacier Classic

The EcoFlow Wave 3 and Glacier Classic represent updated iterations of their mobile air conditioning unit and compact refrigeration system, respectively. Compared to the Wave 2, the new Wave 3 offers enhanced power for effectively regulating temperature within bigger recreational vehicles and camping shelters. Although the latest version of the Glacier series omits the integrated ice-making feature present in earlier models like the Glacier, it compensates with increased interior capacity without expanding its footprint; available capacities include 35 liters, 45 liters, and 55 liters.
